A limited number of schools, nurseries and care homes across Staffordshire are being offered fully funded digital safeguarding and cyber resilience support, delivered by leading local digital forensics and cybersecurity consultancy, SYTECH.
Launched as part of SYTECH’s commitment to strengthening digital safety and resilience across the education and care sectors, the initiative provides participating organisations with both a professional digital safeguarding and online wellbeing training session, and a comprehensive digital vulnerability health check at no cost. Places are strictly limited, with only 30 fully funded places remaining, and strong interest is expected.
The training is designed for leaders, Designated Safeguarding Leads, teachers or full staff teams, equipping them with practical, real-world guidance to manage digital risks with confidence. It offers insight into current online threats affecting children and young people, and provides clear, actionable steps to strengthen everyday safeguarding practices and digital wellbeing.
In addition, each participating setting will receive a comprehensive, non-intrusive review of its digital environment. This is not a disruptive technical audit, but a safety-focused assessment designed to identify weaknesses that could put children, staff, or sensitive data at risk. The health check examines areas including network and device security, exposure to cyber threats, outdated systems that could be exploited, online behaviour risks and potential gaps in policies, safeguarding processes or staff awareness. Settings receive clear, practical recommendations to strengthen protection effectively.
By identifying risks early, education and care organisations can protect children, families and staff by reducing the likelihood of identity fraud, data misuse, safeguarding breaches and reputational damage, while improving compliance with robust data protection and online safety responsibilities, all while gaining peace of mind that their systems and practices are secure.
