Crown – v – Andrew Lindo

2011 Holmfirth, West Yorkshire

Phone and Cell Site evidence showed and tracked Lindo in the manipulation and usage of the victims mobile phone and Facebook. This proved the premeditated nature of this murder.
This evidence assisted in the subsequent guilty verdict and Lindo was sentenced to a prison sentence of no less than 22 years.

Crown – v – Karl Linney

2011 Nottingham

Phone and Cell Site evidence provided by SYTECH to the Defence assisted the Prosecution in offering no evidence against Karl Linney in respect to the alleged burglary.
All charges were subsequently dropped, and SYTECH was commended for their impartiality in this case.

Crown – v – Ward, Purcell & Hardy

Phone and Cell Site evidence showed and tracked the movements of the defendants at the key areas and times of interest.
This evidence led to them admitting to perverting the course of justice by lying to the police and being found guilty to the charges at hand.

Phone and Cell Site evidence in addition to showing the vicinity of the alleged sexual assaults, offered attribution to the mobile phone equipment by tracking the defendant to and from his home address.
This evidence assisted in the subsequent guilty verdict.

2011 Bradford, West Yorkshire

Phone and Cell Site evidence supported the Prosecutions claim of the defendants being at the offence location on the night of the incident.
This evidence assisted in the subsequent guilty verdicts and receiving a life sentence for murder of Deighton man Kim Driver.

2011 Leeds, West Yorkshire

Phone and Cell Site evidence showed locations visited at dates and times relevant to the crimes in question.
This evidence assisted in the suspect pleading guilty and subsequently receiving a 2 Year prison sentence.

 Crown – v – Peter Wass & Craig Jackson

2011 Leeds, West Yorkshire

Phone and Cell Site evidence supported the Prosecutions claim of the defendants being at the offence location, as opposed to being in the Harrogate area as was claimed at the time of the offence. This evidence also attributed the phone to the defendants through cell usage around their home addresses.
This evidence assisted in the subsequent guilty verdicts.

Crown – v – Peter Wilson

2011 Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire

Assisted the Instructing Defence Solicitor in showing, through Computer / Digital Forensics, that their client had not intentionally sourced a number of indecent images which were found stored on his personal computer.
This led to their client being sentenced to a supervised 12-month community order and ordered to attend a thinking skills programme, which aims to stop people from re-offending.

Crown – v – Mahmood & Mahmood (Operation Penybolt – Murders of Alina, Aman and Iram Shah)

2011 Bradford, West Yorkshire

A high-profile West Yorkshire Police operation, which involved the killing of two children and their mother in an arson attack on their home. Sytech carried out the Cell-Site analysis in and around both the suspects’ and victims’ homes for the subsequent investigation.
The two defendants were found guilty of Murder and Manslaughter respectively.

(11/02/11) Update: Asjid Mahmood, now 22, was jailed for life at Bradford Crown Court for the murder of Iram Shah and her children Alina, 10, and Aman, eight. Mahmood’s brother, Arshed Mahmood, 18, will serve 17 years for manslaughter.

2011 Maidstone

Assisted the Instructing Defence Solicitor in showing, through Computer / Digital Forensics, that their client had stored on his personal computer a large number of images which are of an indecent nature. This was consistent with the findings of Kent Police.
This led to their client pleading guilty to the charges of possessing indecent images of children.
