Crown – v – Draper, Easby & Ovenden

2010 Middlesbrough, Teesside

Philip DRAPER: Robbery and possessing an imitation firearm – 2010 Teesside Crown Court Following Sytech analysis of the mobile phone evidence (Cell-Site Analysis and Handset Examination) the prosecution expert was obliged to accept that it was not inconsistent with Draper’s account that he was not at the scene of the robbery.
Philip Draper was subsequently acquitted.

2010 Bradford, West Yorkshire

The killing of pub licensee Kevan Worrall prompted a West Yorkshire Police murder investigation in the Bradford area. Sytech performed a full “Network Capture” and the Cell-Site analysis of the incident location. This evidence placed the Defendant at the offence location.
The defendant was subsequently found guilty of Murder and sentenced to 15 Years in prison.

2010 Bradford

At the request of the Senior Investigating Officer, Sytech carried out the Cell-Site analysis for the victim’s mobile phones and surveyed inside the suspects home address. This was in order to assist the police with identifying the times at which the victims may have been at that location.
The suspect later received a full life sentence.

2010 Leeds & Nationwide

In a South and West Yorkshire Police Joint operation, Sytech assisted in the Cell-Site analysis which showed a wide-spread crime wave. This ranged from Bradford, Scarborough, Blackpool and Doncaster to name but a few.
The Fourteen members of the organised crime gang received a combined sentence of over 50 years, for their roles in a sophisticated enterprise stealing and selling on high value vehicles.

Crown – v – Nabeel Shafi & Muawaz Khalid (Murder of Shopkeeper Gurmail Singh)

2010 Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

In a West Yorkshire Police operation, Sytech carried out Cell-Site analysis which showed the co-location of the defendants at the offence location during times critical to the investigation.
The Two defendants were sentenced to 20 years and 21 years respectively.

2010 Sheffield

Assisted the Instructing Defence Solicitor in showing, through Cell-Site Analysis, Satellite Navigation Forensics and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) System Analysis, that their client was consistent in being at the offence locations at the times of interest.
This led to their client pleading guilty and receiving six-and-a-half years in jail.

2010 Leeds

In a West Yorkshire Police operation, Sytech carried out Cell-Site analysis which showed the Defendants’ mobile phone usage in the areas of interest to the investigation.
The Six members were all found guilty with Two admitting to conspiracy.

2010 Stoke-On-Trent

In a Staffordshire Police operation, Sytech carried out Cell-Site analysis which showed the Defendants’ mobile phone usage in the areas of interest to the investigation.
Keith Wilks was found guilty whilst the other members of the gang pleaded guilty to the charges.

2010 Leeds

In a West Yorkshire Police operation, Sytech carried out Cell-Site analysis which showed the Defendants’ mobile phone usage in the areas of interest to the investigation.
Dwayne Mitcham was found guilty and sentenced to Life Imprisonment.

2010 St. Albans

A murder led to this investigation which involved Cell-Site analysis of mobile telephones that utilised masts across the North London and St. Albans areas.
This led to a successful acquittal of the defendant Bush.
